The Stars of Dorn

The Stars of Dorn is Lucifer216's largest army (clocking in at over 13,000pts) and is slowly being painted to a reasonable standard. The decision to use a comedy background and the Stars and Stripes as the colour scheme for the Chapter, originally had its share of detractors among the PCRC. It was only when the overall effect on some Terminators was showcased, that most doubts vanished.

The main technique used thoughout is layering, with Regal Blue < 50:50 Regal Blue/Ultramarine Blue < Ultramarine Blue <Ice blue used for the armour and Bestial Brown < Bubonic Brown < Bleached Bone < Skull White used for skulls. A coat of |yanden Darksun followed by several light coats of bleached bone and a highlight of skull white was used for the loincloths and purity seals. In the case of vehicles, sharp stripes were achieved with the use of masking tape.

The main aim is to complete the entire 1st company (Currently 30 Sternguard and 60 Terminators complete), together with other elements such as Thunderfire cannons, Rhinos and a Vindicator Line-Breaker squadron.
