Byffi-Cylon

The twin stars of Biffi and Cylon orbit one another closely, shepherding a gravity-wracked set of dense asteroid belts mined by the hardy squats of the system. Seven ring systems are relatively stable, identified by the squats' corrupted rendition of low gothic numbers: En, Men, Min, Mo, Feower, Fif, Set, Sevkt. 

Active and abandoned mines dot hundreds – possibly thousands – of the asteroids, and there are at least eighty major population centres and strongholds on dwarf planets amongst the belts. These are split between two principal and one weaker Leagues. Broadly speaking, the squats of the system tend to get along well; though as always with the inscrutable abhumans, ancient familial tensions and grudges seep back far.
