Translating to Imperial Gothic as 'Cripple', Lahman is a dying star that periodically ejects thick layers of its surface, giving it a distorted, blotchy appearance. The planets of the system are virtually uninhabitable, though conclaves of various cults and mercenary groups do populate the moons of the outer planets, where they are somewhat protected from the star's behaviour.

The Boiteaux belt is a solar phenomenon that makes Lahman useful to the followers of the Archenemy; providing a navigational aid to the region.

Port Madog is an important independent orbital spaceport, crewed by a loose conglomerate of species whose loyalties are to The Cynning Moritz, a degenerate but fiercely charismatic and intelligent ex-Imperial Navy traitor.

On the edge of the system lies Great Terwelu, also known as Gedhu Terwelu, a world of verdant tundra and grasslands, sparsely populated by a mostly stable abhuman strain. The populace is marked by their widely-spaced eyes, hare-lips and a jittery nature. Some, particularly in the northern reaches, exhibit a downy fur.
